Hello! My name's Zach and I am a fourth year Natural Sciences Undergraduate at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. In my first two years I did a mixture of Chemistry, Maths, and Biology modules before specialising into Chemistry in my third year. I achieved a high First Class Honours overall and the college prize for Chemistry. I am now undertaking my fourth year in Management and Business Studies. Outside my course, I play Water-polo for the University team and have served on the committee in a different role each year. I am also currently learning Spanish and am an avid Arsenal fan!

I’m from Islington and attended City of London School on an academic scholarship. I did Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry for A-level (achieving an A* in all of them) and achieved the highest mark in the school for Biology. At GCSE I got 10 9’s and one 8, was awarded an overall academic prize and achieved highly in the UK Maths Olympiad each year. Alongside studying, I captained the school Water-polo team, greatly enjoyed tutoring younger students in Chemistry and Maths and played guitar.

I have experience tutoring students across Maths and the Sciences from GCSE and younger through to A-levels and University applications. My tutoring style focuses on creating an engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. In addition to mastering individual subjects, I emphasise the importance making connections across the sciences, highlighting similarities and overarching themes. This holistic approach is often what top universities are looking for.

By structuring lessons in a way that builds both subject-specific knowledge and the ability to connect ideas, I hope to “pass on the baton” and help students achieve their full potential in their academic journey.
