Hi, I’m Will! I’m a second year Graduate-Entry Medicine student at the University of Oxford having graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class M.Sci in Natural Sciences.
I began my career as a physicist, completing A-levels in Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Physics (A*) and Chemistry (A*) as well as an Extended Project Qualification (A*). I began studying Natural Sciences (Physical) at Cambridge in 2016, specialising in Physics and later Astrophysics before transitioning to Systems Biology in my final year. I sat the BMAT (7.1/5.5/3.5A) and UCAT (3370 - 99th percentile) Medicine admissions exams in 2019 and began on the Graduate-Entry Medicine course at Oxford after graduating in 2020.
I have gained extensive teaching experience across a range of settings, including 10 weeks teaching in both Nepal and China as well as in roles as a Maths and Physics tutor, classroom assistant and climbing instructor. The common thread I have enjoyed most across these experiences has been the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and passion for a subject with my pupils and in return see them flourish, developing their own confidence and proficiency.
I am comfortable tutoring in Maths, Physics and Chemistry up to A-level standard. Additionally, owing to my experience of both systems, I am also happy to offer tutoring in University admissions, both general Oxbridge and Medicine-specific (inc. UCAT and BMAT).
