Hi, I’m Phoebe! I’ve just finished my second year studying English Language and Literature at Exeter College, Oxford. At A-Level I studied English Literature (A*), Government and Politics (A*) and Mathematics (A).

I’ve been tutoring for four years now and have accumulated over 150 hours of experience. I’ve tutored students as young as 4 right up to A-Level standard, and I know how important it is that each session is tailored to a student’s individual needs.

I know from my own experience how frustrating it can be when a subject doesn’t come naturally, and I can attest to the benefit of hard work and the right tutor! Fortunately, I’ve always really enjoyed English (both language and literature) and I love to share my enthusiasm for the subject. I’ve found that when tutoring a student, the more they enjoy the session, the more they learn. I therefore try to incorporate varied and creative activities within each session in order to keep students engaged.

My tutoring style isn’t limited to learning content and improving writing skills, but also developing confidence and effective revision techniques that can benefit students throughout their time in education.
