Nia - History and Politics, University of cambridge

Hello! My name is Nia, and I recently graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge with a BA in History & Politics. I’m now taking some time off,  before studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) beginning in 2025. I loved my time at Cambridge, and was recognised for my contributions to college life through multiple prizes and scholarships. Outside of my degree, I captained my college boat club, and was involved in various mentorship schemes through the Cambridge Student Union.

I went to school in Oxford, where I completed A Levels in History (A*), Geography (A*), Politics (A*), and Mathematics (A). I was also awarded a prize for an internal EPQ on modern political philosophy. During my time at school, I enjoyed taking my interests further than the curriculum. I ran multiple reading groups in history and politics, as well as editing my school History Journal. Having been rowing competitively since I was eleven years old, I understand the importance of balancing academic commitments with interests outside of school life.

I have experience tutoring in History and Geography A Level, as well as in Maths to younger pupils. I would say I bring an enthusiastic and friendly approach to tutoring that encourages students to delve into subjects more than they initially believed they could. I am very passionate about my subjects, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass this drive onto others.
