Mollie - Architecture, University of cambridge
Hello, I’m Mollie – I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class BA in Architecture with Part IA Natural Sciences, achieving First Class results in all four years and attaining a Murray Edwards Scholarship at my college in each year. I achieved a rank of 3rd in my year and was a top 10 student across each year of Architecture. Alongside my academic results, I have always been keen on maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle and developing skills outside of the classroom. I played, coached and captained 1st team university hockey and took up an additional course in French in my final year. I have just finished a master’s in Advanced Materials Science at University College London including a six month self-led research project, achieving a high distinction across my exams and thesis.
Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Fine Art A levels. I was awarded the school prize for Further Maths and Physics for attaining the highest marks in the year group, including achieving full marks in Maths. Outside of the general curriculum, I undertook an EPQ in sustainable housing and was selected as part of the school’s maths challenge team, competing against other schools.
I am a supportive and engaging tutor who enjoys helping students to develop confidence and achieve their potential by widening their understanding of subjects in a way that best suits them. I am a reliable and committed mentor with experience tutoring students of a range of ages and goals including up to prospective Oxbridge applicants. I have plenty of experience in providing Architecture interview and application support including personal statement advice and review, portfolio preparation and mock interview advice and feedback. Having experienced interviews for two Cambridge subjects, I have great knowledge of a breadth of courses and particular insights into the Oxbridge interview process. I enjoy seeing my students grow in confidence and tackle more difficult concepts with ease after some support and it has been a pleasure to receive feedback that my sessions have helped them to feel well prepared for interview day.
