Lukas - Engineering, University of oxford
Hi, I’m Lukas. I’m in my 4th year at Keble College, Oxford, working towards a Masters in Engineering Science. At A-level, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, and Physics. I have a number of years experience tutoring students across a range of ages and abilities. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to explain difficult concepts in ways that are most understandable for each student.
Outside of my degree, I enjoy playing rugby and rowing for the college team, and I am a member of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Society. I am particularly interested in mechanical and software engineering because I enjoy the visualisation and problem-solving aspects of these subjects. I believe it is important to draw out the problem you are working on, break it down into smaller problems, and tackle it step-by-step.
I think one of the main roles of a tutor is to help students develop confidence in their subjects by creating an interesting and engaging learning environment. This approach helps them go into exams and interviews with a positive attitude. I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for the subjects I enjoy and encourage students to challenge their own abilities!
