Lucy
Hi, I’m Lucy! I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2022 where I received a first-class degree in Geography, and I am now completing a masters degree at Columbia University in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology.
I first started teaching students back in 2015 and I have extensive experience tutoring Biology, English and Maths, alongside my primary passion of Geography! From teaching English to a class of 30 students in Beijing to one-on-one Oxbridge interview preparation, I have learnt to explain complex ideas simply and keep students engaged.
In my Geography lessons, I strive to build confidence and inspire students through my awe for the subject, which I believe is fundamental in providing solutions to the pressing issues we face today. I value active recall, critical thinking and open conversation, but I recognise that each student is unique and I design bespoke, flexible lessons.
Having won awards for ranking first in school Geography exams between 2015-2018 and winning a prize from my college and the University of Cambridge for my dissertation, I have the enthusiasm and expertise to teach Geography from KS1 to University Applications. I look forward to helping your child accomplish their academic goals!
