Hi, I’m Lorcan, an English Language and Literature graduate from the University of Oxford.
A lifetime lover of the arts and humanities, after achieving A*s at A-level I followed my passion to Oxford to study English, where I was awarded the Mark Pattinson Exhibition for academic excellence. I hope to instil in all my tutees the same joy of learning and spirit of enquiry my education has afforded me.
Since sixth form, I have had the pleasure of tutoring a range of ages, from primary to undergraduate level. While English at GCSE and A-Level is my specialism, I have experience teaching for all elements of school admissions tests, a broad selection of humanities subjects for GCSE and A-Level, as well as holistically with Primary School students.
As a tutor, tailoring session time to the unique learning needs and goals of each tutee is the number one priority. Whether they're aiming for straight A*s, or to get a strong pass, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their individual targets, whatever that looks like for them. Having applied successfully to both Oxford and Cambridge, I am also passionate about demystifying university and school admissions and applications processes, and Oxbridge applications in particular.
Outside the classroom, I am a keen amateur actor, and delight in sharing my love of theatre with Drama tuition at GCSE and A Level. I am also a lover of music, and proficient in piano, drums and guitar.
