Hi! I’m Katie and I have just graduated from the University of Oxford where I studied History. Prior to Oxford, I attended Wycombe Abbey School, where I studied History, Mathematics, and Politics whilst holding the position of Head Girl. 

My passion for History was able to grow as a result of the exceptional teachers I was lucky enough to have at school. The attention placed on not only understanding the key facts and figures but also gaining the confidence to construct these concepts into effective arguments, are skills which I have carried forward in my own approach to teaching. Every child learns in a unique way and I thoroughly enjoy adopting a personalised, tailored approach to tutoring, which seeks to bring out the strengths in every student, whilst increasing their confidence in a fun and informative learning environment. 

During my time as Head Girl, I mentored students ranging from 11-17 years old and assisted with History homework and examination preparation, alongside aiding with UCAS and Oxbridge applications. This is where my passion for teaching was piqued and since then I have developed this love through my tutoring experiences. I relish teaching all age groups and thoroughly enjoy maximising students’ potential through one-to-one tutoring.
