Kaiser, Medicine - University of Oxford
Hello! My name is Kaiser, and I’m a 4th year medical Student at Somerville College, Oxford University. I took A levels in French, Biology, Chemistry as well as AS Maths. I also achieved 9 A*s at GCSE, where I was awarded the Canon McCarthy Trophy for outstanding achievement.
Throughout my undergraduate degree, I have learnt to apply the rigorous analytical skills and critical thinking required in medicine to various aspects of tutoring. This has allowed me to break down complex topics into manageable, understandable concepts and communicate them in a clear and concise manner.
I have tutored throughout my degree across various areas, including GCSEs and A-levels, as well as providing support for university admissions. My tutees have gone on to receive offers from Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, King’s and other top universities in the UK. This experience allowed me to tailor my teaching approach to suit the individuals of my students, whether it's in preparation for rigorous exams or helping them navigate the intricacies of university admissions.
Outside of academia, I’m an avid gym goer, love going on runs and if not for the ankle I broke 2 years ago, I would also have been a star basketball player. Having gone to grammar school in Germany and then moved to the UK to a non-selective secondary school and grammar 6th form, I believe I have experienced several different learning environments. This in combination with my understanding of the Oxford tutorial system has enabled me to develop a tailored and personalised approach to tutoring. I am able to adapt to different learning styles and cater to the individual needs of my students, whether they prefer a more structured approach or one that encourages independent thinking.
