Hi there, I’m James, a 2 nd -year Geography undergraduate at the St Catherine’s College at Oxford. I studied A-Levels in Geography (A*), Mathematics (A), Extended Project (A) and Physics (B). At GCSE I achieved 11A*s and 2As and was Head Boy at my secondary school.

I have a lot of experience in tutoring, having tutored both Geography (A-Level, GCSE), Maths (GCSE and 11+) as well as tutoring to help with Oxbridge Admissions over the last few years. I think the value of tutoring comes down to forming a close connection between the tutor and the student so that a bespoke programme and personal learning environment can be established.

My sessions usually follow spending the first half of the session going through content for the specific topic and then moving onto exam technique/ guided practice questions, though this is tailored to each student specifically. I’m enthusiastic, tailor learning where needed, and enjoy sharing the passion I have for my subjects with others!
