Jack
Hi! My name is Jack and I am currently a second year studying Biology at Oxford. At A-level I studied Biology, Maths, Physics and Chemistry, achieving 3 A*'s and an A.
Throughout my school years, and now at university, I have supported a variety of students of differing abilities with their GCSEs and A-Levels in science and maths. I have also run group and 1-on-1 help sessions for various students with their Oxbridge applications for Biology.
I believe that in STEM subjects, Maths and Science primarily, the most important part of the learning is understanding. Each student learns differently, so finding what helps a student comprehend the topic is the important first step to progression. In the past, I have always carefully considered what teaching style each of my students works best with and adapted to fit each of their needs.
Outside of academia I am a keen rower and rugby player. As much as I love being outside, I also enjoy spending time behind the handle of a paintbrush or the lens of a camera!
