Isobel - Chemistry, University of Oxford

Hi! I’m Isobel, a Chemistry student at Exeter College, Oxford on their 4-years Masters course. Before university, I achieved A Levels in Chemistry (A*), Maths (A*), and Further Maths (A), as well as an AS Level in English Literature (A).

I have two years of tutoring experience across a wide range of ages and abilities, from supporting a number of Primary school students learning the basics of Maths and developing their English writing skills, to students preparing for GCSEs and A Levels in Chemistry and Maths. I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s individual learning style, ensuring they feel confident and supported while making progress toward their academic goals.

 I’m particularly passionate about breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and linking them to real-world applications, which not only aids comprehension but also fosters genuine interest in the subject. 

Having recently been through the exam system myself, I understand the challenges students face and can provide effective strategies for tackling tricky topics, mastering exam techniques, and developing revision skills.
