Iain
Hi, I’m Iain, I’m a second-year student studying Mathematics at Worcester College, Oxford. At A-level I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry and received 4 A*s.
As a tutor, I believe that the best way to help students learn maths is to work collaboratively with them. By working together to solve problems, sharing ideas, and asking questions, students can correct any misunderstandings they may have and build confidence with the material. Working together this way not only makes the lessons more engaging and rewarding for students, but also paves the way to being able to solve these problems independently.
I have tutored both GCSE and A-level maths, but throughout my aim stays the same: to focus on whichever areas individual students are feeling less confident about, guide them through the content and give them the confidence they need to go into their exams with optimism, hopefully passing on some of my love for maths along the way!
