Ezra
Hey! My name is Ezra, and I am currently a second-year undergraduate Geographer at Brasenose College, Oxford. In my first year examinations I achieved a first (distinction), also winning the John House award for receiving the highest overall mark in the Oxford cohort. This also means I have the most up-to-date understanding of Geography admissions processes and what interests, knowledges, and skills are required in the application process in order to be successful. I have also been awarded a scholars exhibition by my college. My passions lie mainly in human geography, specifically geopolitics, but I am well equipped to help in both human and physical domains as the Oxford course requires competency in both!
I love teaching and helping students to achieve their educational goals, which is why I have been tutoring for over 4 years now, ranging from pre-GCSE teaching all the way to Oxbridge applications. The highlight of my tutoring career so far has been helping a student from my old school successfully receive an offer to also study geography at Oxford! As contextual information, I achieved all A* (9s) at GCSE and 3 A*s in Maths, Geography, and History at A-level.
I believe it is important above all that students really cultivate a passion for the subject which they are hoping to apply for at university, and indeed this is the key goal of my lessons. I want my teaching to be enjoyable and developmental, and I consider myself to be friendly, nurturing, and above all passionate for achieving this aim. Outisde of academics, I love playing and watching football, cooking, watching documentaries, cuddling my dog, and travelling with friends. I look forward to helping you and working towards your goals together!
