Ellie

Hi, I'm Ellie, and I have just graduated from New College, Oxford, with a degree in French and Linguistics. At A Level I studied French (A*), Spanish (A*), and Economics (A*).

I really enjoy teaching and being able to share the advice that I have acquired over my own academic career. My experience includes tutoring Economics A Level, which I did as part of the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative, geared towards shrinking the educational attainment gap. This was particularly rewarding, and I felt as though I was truly able to equip my students with a new sense of confidence in their abilities. I also have teaching experience whilst on my year abroad in France.

In addition, I have also tutored for French A Level and GCSE, as well as for the Oxford University Modern Languages Admissions Test (MLAT).

I understand what it is like to struggle to understand something, and I understand the relief and satisfaction it can bring when someone spends time with you explaining it. My approach involves catering to my student’s preferred learning style and connecting with them, ensuring lessons are tailored and enjoyable!
