Ebubechi
Hey, my name is Ebubechi, I am 23 and currently in my fifth year studying Medicine at Pembroke College Oxford! Beforehand, I studied Biology (A*), Chemistry (A*) and Art (A*) at A-level, and Maths as AS-level (A).
During my time at university, I have had a variety of tutoring experience, guiding Year 9 – Year 13 students through the work they were set during university access programmes, explaining new science material as well as essay writing technique. Before university, I also worked at my school’s preparatory department, assisting children between the ages of 4-11 with their homework.
As a medic, I have been learning cellular and human biology and pharmacology throughout my degree, building on the Biology and Chemistry knowledge I gained in school. I also have experience in medicine admission training, running practise interviews, editing personal statements, and teaching admission test (BMAT and UKCAT) techniques.
I pride myself in being a good communicator, engaging students in topics they may struggle with, and targeting individual concerns. As a tutor, facilitating interest is important to me, it’s a lot easier to understand concepts and work through tasks if the topic can be enjoyable!
