Benedict - Physics and philosophy, University of oxford
Hi, I’m Benedict, a Physics and Philosophy Masters graduate from Merton College, Oxford. A relatively niche course, I wrote my thesis on the crossover of Relativity and Time, with the Philosophy of Religion.
I previously attended Radley College where I was the top academic scholar and obtained 10 A*s at GCSE, and 3A*s at A-Level - though Maths and Physics are my speciality at A-Level, I have taught everything from Latin and French to English and Music! I’ve also supported a lot of students through 7+, 11+, and 13+ admissions process.
I’ve been teaching and tutoring for over 6 years, in a Prep school, online, and in-person. I love encouraging and supporting students of all ages, especially inspiring academic curiosity that goes beyond the curriculum.
As a keen Public Speaker myself, I’ve also done a lot of work building confidence in students for interviews at both school and University admissions. As part of this I have run workshops and delivered talks at a number of schools, covering topics such as Oxbridge and Entrepreneurship, to AI, and stepping up to senior school. I have even been fortunate to even tutor the children of certain Hollywood stars.
Whether a student is just starting out in a field of study, is looking to ace an entrance test for a particular school, or has their mind set on a university place, there’s few things more rewarding than seeing students progress over time. As the son of an Oxford-graduate turned teacher, I seem to be heading down an all too familiar path!
Away from teaching and Renewed Learning, I am a keen sportsman, and enjoy playing music and writing.
