Awwal, Business and Engineering - University of Cambridge

Hello, my name is Awwal, and I am a PhD Graduate from the University of Cambridge, specialising at the intersection of Business and Engineering. During my time at Cambridge, I was recognised with awards for my tutoring skills, presentation abilities, and research contribution to the UK Government’s Investment Strategy. I also hold a First-Class Honours degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, where I graduated at the top of my cohort.

With over six years of teaching experience, I have worked with students across a wide range of classes, from Year 12 all the way up to PhD. Notably, I taught Year 12 and 13 students A-level Maths and Physics as part of a Clare College, Cambridge University STEM programme aimed at improving the academic performance and confidence of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. At the end of the programme, many of my students had significantly improved grades, with some gaining admission into leading universities like Cambridge and Oxford. At Cambridge University, I also taught undergraduate engineering courses and mentored numerous postgraduate students in the field of Business and Engineering.

My tutoring style focuses on simplifying complex concepts through clear, relatable, and practical examples. I encourage students at all levels to be curious, understand the ‘why’ behind concepts, and make meaningful connections between academic theory and the real world. I am passionate about empowering students to achieve their goals through engaging, structured, and personalized guidance.
